I'm struggling to make my blog - www.thecoldend.blogspot.com look a bit more professional and wondering if anyone knows how I would make the header look a bit more like that of tmufc.blogspot.com I know how to add the photo behind the header but it looks too big when I do it off the normal header edit section. What I would like is it to say 'the cold end' and then have three pictures as THE BLOG END has on their excellent web site. Is it something to do with the HTML code?? some of which i sort of understand but then get confused. Any help would be most gratefully received. Regards Barry

Chris has used a single .png image for his header picture for TMU, there, which allows for transparency, rather than four different images. I can't see from here (work) whether it is transparent, because I don't have any iimage editing software here, though. I have to say that it has been a long time since I used Blogger, but can open up one of my old sites this evening and remind myself. It should automatically align the picture to the centre of the screen.

Hi Barry.
The .png file is not transparent, it's just the same as the background colour of the page. The design of the top of the page is not radically different from what would've happened if I'd just replaced the title with an image, but I did play around with various content widths in the page HTML to align it properly.
Sorry I can't be more helpful, I'm really not very technical. But as Ian said, the image itself is a (very) simple Photoshop job.

Excellent, a vast, vast improvement. If you don't have Photoshop, for future reference I would recommending The GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Program) - I haven't used Photoshop for years. You can get it here: www.gimp.org/

Excellent, a vast, vast improvement. Concur - looks spot on. If you don't have Photoshop, for future reference I would recommending The GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Program) - I haven't used Photoshop for years. You can get it here: www.gimp.org/Might have to familiarise myself with that (have heard people mention it many times before), but the general idea of 'design' fills me with dread, so think I'll stick to bog-standard Wordpress themes for a while yet.
