Having just got a Blackberry last week, I have to say I am an instant convert to the "Two Hundred Percent Mobile" site and the Run of Play mobile version too. By contrast, trying to read our site on a phone is a task of much thanklessness. How does one go about setting up one's site for reading on a mobile?

I have noticed that your site isn't great on a mobile too! Sorry, I don't have any solution, just re-inforcing what you've just said! Wordpress sites seem to be OK. Not sure what you have to do for blogspot ones!

The short answer is, installing a mobile Wordress theme. It picks up if you're viewing the site on RIM (for Blackberry), IOS (the Iphone mobile operating system), Android and - I think - Windows Mobile and flips automatically to a different theme. Theoretically, there should be a way of coding a Blogger site to do the same thing, but I don't know where you'd start. I'll have a look into it and come back to you.

Wordpress does it automatically I'm lead to believe.
I've actually had compliments from people saying 'great work on the mobile site' and 'on my iPad RR has it's own icon, great stuff!'
I've literally no idea how that happened in all honesty, but I'll take the compliments.

Some Wordpress themes do have a mobile theme built in, yes.

Ian - my Blogger Dashboard looks nothing like the set-up that is described on that link (I don't see a "MOBILE PREVIEW button", for example). It's a bit frustrating, as it would be good to have the site looking nice on a mobile device.
I have an entirely separate, non-football-related WP site and can confirm it looks exactly the same on a mobile device as on a regular PC.

I have tried it on a testing Blogger blog that I have and it does work. You seem to need to log into draft.blogger.com to activate it.

Oh, gotcha. I had never heard of draft.blogger.com before. It actually works pretty well - thanks very much for the tip.

That's brilliant fellas - applying this via blogger template couldn't be easier - we'll see if my phone can cope with it - you were quite right Steve!

I tried this out, it said that the changes were saved, but nothing at all's different when i go there on my blackberry? Does it take a while to be effective?
hmm, tried the twounfortunates and it seems to the same as before, just a smaller version of the regular blog, which is the same as what I get from my site, so the problem may be with my blackberry.
twohundredpercent, I get the mobile version which looks great, does blogger not work with blackberries?

Thanks Furtho and Ian, good to know it's working somewhere, helps narrow it down to the problem being with blackberries in general or my specific blackberry.

yes- it must be an issue with blackberries - I have only had mine two weeks and already despise it. Free with work but a false economy
