An idea I came across recently that I hadn't heard of before, but which may be of interest. If you're unfamiliar with the term, a blog carnival is, "a type of blog event..., similar to a magazine, in that it is dedicated to a particular topic, and is published on a regular schedule, often weekly or monthly. Each edition of a blog carnival is in the form of a blog article that contains permalinks to other blog articles on the particular topic. "Carnival posts are generally collated by the author by soliciting relevant contributions from interested people. The author collects links to these submissions, edits and annotates them and publishes the resulting round-up to his or her blog. Many carnivals have a home page or principal organizer, who lines up guest bloggers to host each edition. This means that the carnival travels, appearing on a different blog each time." The above description is from the Wikipedia entry on blog carnivals, which is at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blog_carnivalThere's also an FAQs page on the resource site blogcarnival.com, here: blogcarnival.com/bc/faq.html

Is there an appropriate site to host it on? Or will we just do a simultaneous set of posts on our own site? Or set up a new blog just to host these articles on?

I'd echo Football Hobo's query but am guessing we pick a day (or a 48 hour period) and aim to post our contributions up within a 24 hour period - with links to other people's efforts as well and making the "blog carnival" branding clear.
I could contribute something on the women's game below top tier level (which would fit in with our site's remit). Les Rosbifs could do something on women players abroad, Damon Threadgold could do something on the Real FA Cup - loads of scope but of cousre it should be quite loose in spirit
It would need a bit of research and maybe a visit to a game - but International Women's Day is March 8 - might be an idea to coordinate with that (it is quite soon)
It would naturally be desirable to get a couple of the women's football blogs involved - I think there are a couple of good US ones and I came across a good Swedish one too.

I'd be up for doing something on this. Very interesting times in Canadian Women's soccer right now. National team better than they have been in a long time, looking good and getting serious dark horse status for upcoming world cup.
But now the manager who inspired all that has come out to say she's going to quit after the world cup due to differences with the thoroughly incompetent Canadian Soccer Association. Full details aren't out yet, but should be soon, and hopefully will expose some of the backroom political shenanigans and uselessness that have held Canada back up to now, ie underfunding of the programme and the players etc etc.
should be good fodder for this sort of thing.

If we're doing dibs, then I had probably better call dibs on thingy Kerr's Ladies, for the want of a better phrase.
